about us

OUR Story

Founded in 1998, the Youth Sports Foundation (YSF) was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to expand opportunities for Tuolumne County youth through the development, renovation, and creation of quality sports facilities and play spaces. Over the years, YSF has helped renovate baseball and softball fields, improve elementary school playgrounds, provide equipment to local leagues, and support the growth of youth sports programs throughout our community. In January 2021, the organization entered a new chapter with a renewed leadership team dedicated to carrying that mission forward while continuing to invest in the next generation of local athletes.

Today, YSF is building more than sports facilities. We are building a place where young people can learn, compete, grow, and create lifelong memories. The first phases of Foundations Sports Park have already transformed opportunities for local families, providing a FIFA-size soccer field, and thriving pickleball courts that bring people of all ages together each day. What was once an empty space has become a vibrant community gathering place where friendships are formed, healthy lifestyles are encouraged, and the values of teamwork and perseverance are strengthened.

Phase Two is now underway with the construction of our Indoor Sports Pavilion, creating a year-round home for volleyball, basketball, futsal, camps, clinics, and community events. As our campus continues to grow, so does our commitment to serving Tuolumne County. Every field, court, and facility represents an investment in our youth and our future. Together with our volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners, we are not just building sports facilities. We are building opportunities, strengthening community, and building a home for youth sports in Tuolumne County.
