Founded in 1998, YSF was established as a 501c3 non-profit to expand play opportunities for Tuolumne County youth through the renovation and creation of play spaces, facilities and sport fields.

Notably, YSF has led projects to renovate Cassina High School’s baseball/softball fields, remediate elementary school playgrounds and fields, provide equipment to leagues, and promote local youth sports program establishment.

In January 2021, YSF’s Board underwent a generational torch pass, with an entire new leadership team with a renewed yet consistent focus on benefiting local youth through sport.
